An affordable wide angle lens for the Canon FD mount released in the 80's. When Canon revamped the FD lens lineup to the "New" version this was one of the wide angles released according to the Canon Lens Museum. I managed to pick my copy up for a good deal from Seawood Photo as part of a sale at the Spring PhotoFair at the Newark Pavilion. The lens is incredibly light weight for what it is despite the bright f/2.8 aperture. My copy isn't the smoothest but optically it's sound. The usual FD plastic isn't helping things here and I don't like the FD mount itself much. Despite that the lens performs well though and I got it for a steal.
